Bethel Baptist Church (Berney Points) (Birmingham Churches and Their Cornerstones)

This Colonial Revival church building sits near the intersection of Pearson Avenue and Tuscaloosa Avenue, an intersection known as Berney Points. Erected as Berney Points Baptist Church, since March 1993, it has been the home of Bethel Baptist Church. The congregation was founded in 1886 and the pastor at that time was Rev. Dr. William H. Geason.

Berney Points Baptist erected a new building a top Shades Mountain near the Alford Avenue interchange on I-65, but by 2018, it had closed and the building became the home of Christ the King Anglican Church.
