Mt. Mariah Missionary Baptist Church is located at 7300 Georgia Road in Gate City, The congregation dedicated this building in 1995, but it was built earlier for Gate City Baptist Church which had been on this site since 1924.

The scripture chosen for the cornerstone was 2 Peter 2:61 “Beyond, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone . . and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.” Rather than list trustees and deacons as is common. The trustees, deacons, and members are just invoked by those three words as joining with the pastor Robert Paul Hollman in dedicating the church.
